Watch Over Me – Available for Preorder!

Yup, I was checking Amazon for something else, and decided to see if Watch Over Me was listed yet.  It is.  On top of that, Bethany House sent me the tentative back cover copy today:

Her Rescue Might Be the Miracle They Needed

Things like this don’t happen in Beck County.

Deputy Benjamin Patil is the one to find the infant girl, hours old, abandoned in a field.

When the mother can’t be located, Ben and his wife, Abbi, seem like the perfect couple to serve as foster parents. But the newborn’s arrival opens old wounds for Abbi and shines a harsh light on how much Ben has changed since a devastating military tour.

Their marriage teeters on the brink and now they must choose to reclaim what they once had or lose each other forever.

Poignant and powerful, this novel confirms Christa Parrish as one of the most talented new voices to emerge in inspirational fiction.

I’m almost starting to get excited.

  1. Woohoo! I love the back cover copy. You can now say you’re a multi-published author. Congratulations!

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

I have never been more emotionally involved in anything I have ever read, and I have been reading for a long, long time :) , than I was with “Home Another Way.” Is there possibly going to be a sequel? I see all sorts of directions Sarah’s story could travel. Hated for the book to end and yet was relieved that I would now stop crying! I so related to Sarah, as I’m sure so many women have. Thank you for a wonderful, life-affirming, faith-renewing story. Terry

  3. Thank you, Terry. I’m not sure where Sarah’s story is going yet :) I have one more book to write with Bethany House, and then I may revisit Jonah – I’m not sure. I want to be certain any sequel will live up to the first!

    Yours,
    Christa

I’m with Terry. Home Another Way *needs* a sequel. Please, please, please, pretty please! Sarah was an amazing character, and there was a depth to the storylines that I loved. It wasn’t obvious throughout the book what the ending would be, which I loved. It just doesn’t feel complete!

I’m very excited to see that you have a new book coming out soon.

  5. Lily Perry says:

    Ms. Parrish,

I devoured Home Another Way in 2 days. It only took me that long because I have three little ones who for some reason couldn’t understand that I had to ignore their cries for food, diaper changes to read this masterpiece!!

Before I chime in with a request for a sequel, I have to thank you for reflecting the Sarah that we have in all of us, to a degree. I have to admit, I didn’t like her very much, but I loved Jack. You’ve already got the beginnings of an amazing love story- two really. The one between Sarah and Jesus, and of course the more obvious one– Sarah and Jack.

In the meantime, I’m pre ordering Watch Over Me. You’ve inspired me to journal at least. I was in the library, desperately looking for an “Inspirational Romance”, and was hoping yours was since it had the catch phrases of faith and God.

The only thing I can compare this to is Finding Eden. I didn’t want it to end!!

  6. Lily, thank you so much for coming by to let me know how much you enjoyed Home Another Way. And I’m so happy to know I’ve inspired you just a little :) We’ll see where the sequel idea goes after I finish this third novel I’m working on.

    Thanks for the encouragement!

    Christa

    Thank you!

WoW~! Lady Christa, you SO need more publicity! Man sakes alive gal, YOU CAN WRITE! I am reading “Another Way Home” and am truly astounded with the realistic abstracts used. ( Loved it when she had to go pee..LOLOLOL!} This is not the same ole, same ole stuff that has been out. How refreshing! KEEP ON we need this and seems in an odd way, “Another Way Home” is touching areas of my life personally for healing, and a major stress buster! May God bless you abundantly in this venture! I will be promoting your writings with a passion.
